We had been working on it for a long time, … thinking about municipalism and transition and what seems to us an essential centrality: rural territories. What resilience can we talk about when cities do not support each other without the countryside? How can we then value all these territories of memory, identity, sociability and resilience?
So, with this conviction we went with the inhabitants of the small village of Castielfabib (Valencian Community) where Commonspolis is based to organise a festival of rural cultures where we talked about ecology, ecofeminism, art, music, rock art, dialogue and climatic and social emergencies in times of covid19.
Yes, we did it, from 10 to 12 October 2020, in a reduced format and respecting health indications, … but with an open heart for the next editions.
