The 2021 Summer University of Social Movements and Citizens, which will take place from August 19 to 21 in Nantes (France), will be a highlight of the year in order to face of the climatic emergency, attacks on human rights, social freedoms and the freedoms and destruction of commons.
This event will bring together local, national and international movements committed to the defense of human rights, the democratic transformation of our societies, the promotion of solidarity, ecological, feminist, anti-racist, anti-colonialist and peace alternatives.
It will take the form of meetings, exchanges, debates, training and exchange of experiences between the various components of the social and citizen movement, from the local to the global. A multitude of times and spaces will allow to organize activities in varied formats: forum, seminars, assemblies, self-managed activities that will be the heart of the program, “artivism”, art workshops, concerts, etc. Other formats of activities will be possible to adapt to the different participants and to coincide with the diversity of movements and struggles that will make up the event.
Commonspolis and the Utopia Movement will participate in the event together with other municipalist organizations.
