The third session of the school of the European Municipal Network took place on the 27th of May 2021 and focused on the subject “Municipalism and climate change: what role for cities within the ecological transition?”. The workshop explored municipalist experiences and suggested innovative approaches to public policy. The climate crisis has increasingly significant repercussions at the local level, in urban, peri-urban and rural areas. Air quality, water, energy, soil and food are becoming crucial public health issues. It is also essential to face this global crisis on the local level.
Speakers: Solenne Boiziau (Fréquence Commune, France); Ana Huertas (Municipios en transición, España); Nicolas Haeringer (350.org, Francia); Vedran Horvat (IPE, Zagreb); Sergi Escribano (Commonspolis).
